Pizzavia Logo Concepts

I was hired to design a logo for Pizzevia, a portable brick oven.
Below are the 3 versions.
The client was interest in the idea of a classic horse and carriage or chariot concept for the logo, but was afraid that the vintage look and feel, would not best represent a vehicle made of mostly stainless steel.

The second design was influenced by AC Roma, the Italian soccer club. The patch-like crest encompasses a flame, which flows in the shape of the letter "P". The Pizzevia font is very similar to the Roman Legioneer "SPQR" - which stand for Sempre Pronto Questi Romani. The exact translation is The Romans are Always Ready.

The third and final design concept for the Pizzevia logo. The design is balanced and has rhythm which attracts the viewer. The "Pizzevia" was designed with the intensions of a classic automobile or vespa scooter. It movement elements leads the viewer to believe that there is motion involved. This is my choice and the client's top choice.

South American 2010 World Cup Qualifier - Poster/Brochure

This brochure was designed to promote the 2010 World Cup Qualifier matches which were broadcasting on LIVE television. The brochure was a 5.5" x 8.5" booklet which opened to a full spread, highlighting players such as Lionel Messi of Argentina and all the flags of the South American countries competing for a place in the 2010 world cup. The back page listed all the games which were to be broadcasted live on national television. The booklet folded open once more to reveal an 11" x 17" poster.

Red Hot

The Retirement Red Zone is an on going campaign which Prudential Financial has been promoting for the last 2 years. In 2007 they were campaigning around the country on Monday Nights at local restaurants before the Monday Night Football game. The campaign was ingeniously called -- Monday Night in The Retirement Red Zone. The logo was designed to have a hard and edgy feel, but still be clean and sophisticated. This is what I came up with.

Healing Osiris

Description: Company Identity for Healing Osiris

Healing Osiris is a spa which specializes in Colon Hydryo Therapy, Wheat-Grass Diet, and Organic Facials. I worked very closely with the client in the development of her company's identity. The first thing we worked on was the NAME. After hours of research and brainstorming we finally decided on "Healing Osiris" because Osiris was the god of agriculture, prosperity and health. I used the Lavender and the Yellow as my main colors because it suited the client's over-all look and feel. Hydro Therapy is represented by the water droplet. Osiris, is represented within the Icon. The symbol of the god Osiris. I used a soft, flowing font for the logo. The flowing letters with the water droplet and the colors gives a great feeling of comfort and relaxation.

Sean John Packaging

Description: Packaging design for Sean John Underwear.

Sean John, is expanding his empire and is trying to take over the underwear game. The design, has two parts: An outer box (shell) which contains all the information and artwork. The photography direction is very provacative and "sexy". The Black & White image gives it a very clean and class with sex appeal. The logo is printed with a High gloss and is bevelled for texture. The inner box, which holds the garment, has two windows: one on the front and another on the side, so the buyer can see the color and feel the texture of the garment. The design was derived from a video tape—with the sliding inner box and has a black matte finish.
